have been -> 動詞

其中我有問題的地方是have been of such interest and importance that…..

為什麼have been後面會有of ?

such在這邊應該是非常...… 很...…的意思 (https://reurl.cc/RO9vez)

那麼如果去掉of -> have been such interest and importance that….. 是錯在哪裡呢?

是因為interest 跟 importance都是名詞的關係所以不能去掉? 謝謝。

There can be a difference in meaning between the constructions "of noun" and "adjective". In this case, "of interest" can be used to describe what an individual considers interesting but can also be used in a broader scope to describe what an organization or society finds notable. In contrast, to find something interesting is a personal activity. For example, being a "person of interest" (to law enforcement, perhaps) is very different from being an "interesting person".

用of + noun就像上面說的 "of interest" can be used to describe what an individual considers interesting but can also be used in a broader scope to describe what an organization or society finds notable

這種 "of + noun" 在(偏)正式英文裡頭很常見。接觸多就見怪不怪了。

這用法在字典解釋裡頭也有，比如這個:
